Here's a wrap up of recent Custard happenings... they played shows in Sydney and Brisbane in late September. Reviews of the Sydney shows can be found here and here, photos here and you can also watch a video of Nice Bird. For the Brisbane show, you can read reviews in the Courier Mail and Rave, and look at the setlist here. Below you can stream a video of the band playing early classic Bedford as part of the encore. There is a bootleg audio recording of the whole show available on the turn it up blog. You can also download a recording of Dave McCormack playing solo on September 4th.

Back in the 90s, Custard recorded 10 cover songs for Triple J, which were dubbed the Shonky songs. I (Dave, the music is crap webmaster) am looking for a copy of these. If you have a copy, or know someone who does, please send me an email.
In June I uploaded three more videos from Stalkerbait onto youtube... there's Custard doing Alone and Apartment on the steps on the Sydney Opera House in 1996, plus a Talking Heads cover from early 1995. You can see these clips over on the videos page. I've also embedded the clip for Alone below.

Check them out here. The videos suggest it was a very fun show! You can also see a few photos from the show via LifeMusicMedia, Stephen Booth Photography and Mess and Noise.
Towards the end of 2010 a new Custard compilation CD called Essential Custard was released. It features 40 tracks from across the band's career. You can buy a copy here.
In late 2010, Custard fan David Hannah (the man behind Cuszine) uploaded some rare photos of Custard and a host of other bands on his facebook page. You can check em out here.
