The Fauves are are a wonderful band that hail from the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia.  The band is best known for its string of catchy mid-late 1990s pop/rock singles such as Dogs Are The Best People, Self Abuser, Bigger Than Tina, Celebrate the Failure and Give Up Your Day Job.  However, the Fauves have actually been around since the late 1980s, and the band is still releasing music today.

Older News

The Fauves released their most recent album, When Good Times Go Good, in mid 2008.  To hear a few songs from it, visit www.myspace/thefauves.  The Fauves also have a facebook page.

I have uploaded links to recent interviews, CD and live reviews to the press clippings page.  In one of the interviews, Coxy mentions that he has finishing writing a (currently unpublished) book called I'll Work When I'm Dead, and that he is hard at work writing a TV show.

I recently scoured youtube for Fauves videos, and I've updated the Fauves video page with links to goodies that I unearthed.  There are a bunch of music videos, some live clips, and three TV performances.  I particularly recommend checking out the Chris Knox / Coxy live on Recovery clip - it's gold.
